The Escola Politécnica's
robotics team appeared in 2001 and has been called ThundeRatz ever since 2005, when the team suffered some changes.
Our team’s patron is
Professor Marcos Ribeiro Pereira Barretto,
and under his guidance we build and develop robotic mechanisms that are put against other robots at the major robotics events in Brazil: WinterChallenge and Eneca.
The team members learn how to safely work heavy machinery, develop team spirit, leadership concepts, have direct contact with high technology, learn how to make quick decisions and to solve problems. Learn more.
